Welcome Writercon!

As some of you may have seen, writercon has folded their resources into ours of late, and we'd like to extend a warm welcome to any and all former writercon attendees to wincon!

We're a friendly sort and always love to see new people, and we think this is going to be a great fit. We're excited to merge the best of writercon with wincon, and you should look out for more on that in the future. There has always been a large crossover between the two Cons, so the transistion shouldn't be too bumpy.

On a personal note, we would like to say we're sad to see writercon suspend operations as it was actually the inspiration for wincon in the first place. writercon in Atlanta was the last fancon Kassie attended as just an attendee and the way the con was managed inspired many, many of the protocols and concepts embedded in the wincon operations manual. Thanks to writercon concom for all their hard work over the years. No one knows better than we do exactly what goes into planning events such as you did, we thank you as your fans.

For now, we want to make sure anyone new coming over has all the relevant info they need for registering. All of our info is located at our website:

We know that October isn't ideal for a lot of the writercon community, but we'd love to have you hanging with us this fall all the same.

Welcome to those of you who are new (and you are very much welcome, trust me), and HEY Y'ALL to those of you who have done both Cons in the past. We love you either way.

Now, pitch a panel!

From all of us Winconners.
